In our example of citing an internet reference we include the source (web site, or company, or personal, or otherwise) first (maybe in combination but still first);

then we include the title of the page being cited;

then we include the time of the day that the web page was loaded (or downloaded) for citing;

then we include the day of the week and the date in a format of the user's choice that the web page was loaded (or downloaded) for citing;

then we include the internet file location and file name.

Web page locations can be long and the parts may span more than one text line.

Web page titles may be underlined (if they are directly relevant to the citation) or left without underline if so desired.





The logic of adding a time stamp to the internet citation is to give the reader the ability to either find the page as it is currently, or to reference the page in a format that it was on some date and time. Remember that on some sites web pages can be changed every time that a new person looks at the page. Also, some sites change their page in relation to tracking cookies which may be to accomodate the viewer.
